California Cookout recently catered my son’s wedding. We were extremely pleased with the beautiful charcuterie board for our cocktail hour and the delicious western Bbq for dinner. Everything was fantastic. The serving staff was also amazing. Super professional and very fun and friendly.
The owner Nathan was extremely nice to talk with over the phone, getting the menu planned and finalized, as well as discussing all of the necessary details of the actual day.
I would highly recommend California Cookout for anyone looking for a great catering experience.

Nathan was great! Had them cater our outdoor reception with family and friends months after our micro wedding (less than 10 people). We did 2 tastings with them, 1 with my parents and again with just my husband & I to try the berry cobbler (THE BEST). All our guests commented on how delicious everything was & instead of a cake we did the cobbler which was amazzzzing & not to mention gluten free. We also chose to do the coffee service which was a big deal for my family esp when we provided 100% Kona coffee beans and Nathan was nice enough to grind and prepare for our event. We couldn't have asked for anyone better than Nathan and his team to cater for our wedding! The quality of food and service that you get with California Cookout is top notch. And the value is second to none. Everything tasted amazing and all our guests loved everything as much as we did. The best part... California Cookout catered to my wedding this past weekend. Although planning a wedding during this time was not easy at all, I can definitely say that working with Nathan made the process much easier. Nathan is very easy to work with, he will listen to you and try to work within your budget. Price is great, and food is even better. In fact, the food tasted better at my wedding day than when I went in for tasting! My guests loved the food and I heard many of them went for their 2nd plate.
I’m so glad that I chose Cal Cookout as my wedding caterer. I would highly recommend Nathan and his team to anyone planning their special event.

The only thing better than their food, is their service. We were 60 days away from our wedding when we postponed due to COVID-19. Nathan and Cal Cookout have exceeded our highest expectations by demonstrating excellent customer service including friendly professionalism, prompt communication, and flexible accommodations.
We could rave about their easy booking process, value of affordable pricing, or the outstanding taste of their delicious tri-tip, savory vegetables, refreshing salad, and mouth-watering mashed potatoes; but the primary reason my fiance and I highly recommend Nathan and California Cookout for all of your catering needs; is because they have restored our optimism for our future wedding in 2021.

Nathan and his crew catered my wedding last year in Lake Arrowhead and did a superb job. All of my guests were raving about how delicious everything was! California Cookout provided my wedding with the perfect spread, they were professional, and exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend if you want the best gourmet food and service!

10/10 Nathan and his staff were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire planning process and our wedding! They made everything clear and easy. Andrew especially was incredible - so accommodating. We had a few guests with allergies and they were happy to have a separate salad for those guests. Super punctual and responsive to all of our questions. Everyone complimented the food. A major hit were the grilled cheese and tomato bisque shooters! I cannot recommend them more! Thank you Nathan, Andrew, and staff! You helped make our wedding perfect!

My experience with Nathan and California Cookout was excellent. They catered my wedding in June and they did an exceptional job. The food was fresh, delicious, and we received compliments from our guests through the night on how good the food was. I guess people are used to stale, generic wedding food but Cali Cookout delivered the goods!

I worked with Nathan, the owner of this business. I had a great experience. He offered to the wedding guest exquisite food. Many of the guests gave compliments to him. One of the best thing was his homemade chimichurri. It was simply delicious. If you are looking for a caterer for any event, California Cookout is definitely the way to go. We initially reached out to him about catering our wedding and he invited us to one of his tastings. The food was absolutely delicious (uhm... they serve warm bread, how can you not go with them?). I would highly recommended going to one of the tastings. Nathan collaborates with other small business and we even found our wedding cake vendor through the tasting. He even let us come twice... to bring our parents and get the final stamp of approval!

Unfortunately, due to COVID we had to postpone our May 2020 wedding, but they have been great about postponing our event. This is a + in my book, because I've heard sooo many stories from other brides about vendors not being communicative or flexible with them. We really appreciate how above and beyond Nathan has gone for us. This is a company we would love to use for events in the future.

As far as the food, the menus have a lot of variety which is awesome. They are also very willing to work within your budget. We went with the tri-tip & grilled chicken (which are carved onsite during dinner service) and the upgraded sides. Nathan was very accommodating with food allergies/substitutions. We have a couple guests with nut allergies and he agreed that their salads would be served/dressed separately as the salad contained walnuts. In addition, we have some vegetarians in attendance and ordered a veggie lasagna as an add on.

Overall, the value and quality of the food is spot on. It was very easy and straightforward to get a quote and book for the event. Communication has been great, and we truly appreciate the flexibility during this time. 🙂

The California Cookout Catering was amazing!!! We had them cater my daughter's wedding and Nathan was such a joy to work with!! We weren't easy clients, as divorced parents, and he made the catering decisions run smoothly. He went out of his way to accommodate us. The food was delicious!!! All of our guest raved about how great it was. I would 100% have them cater another event for us and recommended them to everyone who likes to eat great food! Thank you Nathan!!!!

Cannot recommend a caterer more. We used them for our wedding and all of our guests loved the food. It may seem like your classic wedding catering menu, but Nate and his team really elevate the flavors and deliver amazing food. He also worked really well with us on dietary restrictions (from celiac guests to vegetarians and several in between). Nate was great with communication and the process was incredibly straightforward. He and his team were perfectly on time and managed the event extremely well. Nate went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our wedding! We are still eating leftovers and excited about it, since the food was so good. A special part of working with Nate is that he really does everything he can to meet your budget. He has a variety of options and ways to keep to a smaller budget but still give your guests great food and service.

We had a wedding reception booked with Nathan and his team for May of 2020. When the pandemic hit we unfortunately had to cancel the big event we had planned. Nathan was quite understanding of the circumstances, and despite the contract in place, worked to get us a full refund of our deposit.

Bummed that we never got a chance to enjoy the meal we had planned, but the tastings were all delicious and it was sure not to disappoint! Would certainly be open to booking them for future events in the area.
